Key Responsibilities
Lead and define the spatial brand vision across retail, exhibitions, events, pop-ups, and activations by driving concept development from initial narrative to final design direction while ensuring design excellence, brand consistency, and innovation across all touchpoints. Defines the overall design vision, creative direction, and aesthetic quality standards.
Spatial Design & Visualization
• Develop and refine clear spatial concepts
• Produce or closely direct renders and visualizations that communicate design intent, atmosphere, and materiality
• Guide the creation of hero visuals, walkthroughs, and immersive presentations for clients
• Set visual standards for rendering quality, lighting, textures, and storytelling
Design Team Collaboration
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate designers
• Provide clear creative direction, structured feedback, and design reviews at all stages
• Allocate work effectively and ensure alignment between concept, detail, and delivery
Feasibility & Realization
• Ensure designs are feasible and scalable, balancing creativity with real-world constraints
• Collaborate closely with architects, creatives, and project managers
• Translate conceptual design into clear spatial designs
• Present design concepts and visualizations confidently internally and to clients
• Translate client objectives into spatial design solutions
Required Skills & Experience
Design & Technical Skills
• Strong ability to develop and communicate compelling spatial concepts through clear visual direction and storytelling
• Proficient in 3D spatial design and visualisation workflows, with Rhino considered a highly valuable tool for spatial and architectural development
• Ability to use a range of visualisation and rendering software to effectively communicate design intent, atmosphere, materiality, and user experience
• Capable of translating abstract ideas and early-stage concepts into clear visual outputs that align teams, clients, and stakeholders around a shared vision
• Excellent understanding of:
- Spatial composition and environmental storytelling
- Materials, finishes, and visual detailing
- Lighting, atmosphere, and mood creation
- Human scale, flow, and user experience
- Contemporary spatial and experiential design trends
• Ability to establish a strong visual and conceptual direction that guides the wider design team throughout the project lifecycle
• Skilled at mentoring and directing designers by providing clear creative guidance, references, feedback, and visual benchmarks
• Strong eye for presentation quality, ensuring all visuals, renders, and design outputs communicate a cohesive and elevated design narrative
• Experience with tools such as Rhino, Enscape, or similar real-time rendering platforms is highly valued
Leadership & Experience
• Mandatory 8+ years of experience in brand experience, spatial, events, retail, and experiential design
• Proven experience leading design teams and complex spatial projects
• Strong understanding of design feasibility
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
Nice to have:
• Experience in spatial or retail activation projects
• Familiarity with project management

• Producing technical build drawings
• Running productions
